Racing season is upon us and it's always a little tricky getting that look just right. Whether you're going for a really smart look or a slightly more casual one there is a right fit for everyone. As for myself I'm going to go for a lighter tone of grey with classic white trousers and a pair of brogues to finish the look, along with a nice gentlemen's watch and a classic tie. Owning a variety of suits is always a good thing as each event calls for a different attire.
The races I will be attending is the Sandown Park Coral-Eclipse on the 8th of July courtesy of The Jockey Club.
For you that don't already know the ins and outs of this event, let me give you a little insight so you're a little more clued up!
The Eclipse was first run in the year 1886 for £10,000, making it the most valuable horserace ever run in Britain at the time. Which is no surprise that horseracing is now the second biggest spectator sport in Britain, with 6 Million attending the races each year. In terms of a horses speed they can cover 100m in half the time current Olympic champion Usain Bolt can.
The day itself there are many ways you can enjoy the day from standard tickets to a private box with a dining experience or from the comfort of your own lounge on the TV. However seeing the races is an experience all in it's own, so i recommend heading over to the Sandown website link here to grab your ticket today!
