Rooftop Film Club, sponsored by Nespresso, recently reopened their Peckham rooftop cinema in time for summer.
I attended the launch night, in which I enjoyed popcorn, cocktails, a live singer before viewing 'Purple Rain' featuring Prince. As well as panoramic views across London, the whole experience was enjoyable, and I was very thankful that Nespresso supplied blankets! The Magical Lantern Festival is visually spectacular, an artistic installation of beautifully sculpted life-size and giant lanterns designed in various forms from animals and birds to buildings and abstract lantern designs of all shapes and sizes. To mark the Year of the Monkey 2016, a Mount Huaguo lantern with an illuminated waterfall will provide the fairytale setting for an intricate recreation of popular Chinese fable, The Monkey King. Beautifully kept and landscaped, Chiswick House & Gardens is the perfect outdoor setting for the Magical Lantern Festival. The scale and grandeur of the gardens lends itself perfectly to the layout of the lanterns with their combination of grand vistas and hidden pathways, architectural delights and a dazzling array of wildlife." - http://www.magicallantern.uk/ Around Christmas time, I received my bottle of Sprizatto. Made from a precise blend of sweet oranges from sicily, bitter citrus fruits from curaca, Sprizzato is a harmonious, well-rounded drink that "takes you to the mediterranean sun in every drop". From the recipes that Sprizatto provided on their website, I decided to make the 'Italian Riviera' - and it was very refreshing to say the least!
Check their website to find out where you can purchase your own bottle and how you can make your own creations! http://bit.ly/joepeters Yesterday I was privileged enough to spend the day with Formula 3 racing driver Struan Moore to race against himself and other bloggers in the 'Let's Race' simulators.
We all had the opportunity to get in a quick 15 minute practice and qualify for the main race, as well as learning how to control your simulator. After qualifying, the main race lasted half an hour - everyone was competing for that podium finish! I finished fifth out of nine, not the podium that I was hoping for, but I had a great experience nonetheless and met some great bloggers. Head over to my Instagram page and click the link in my bio for the chance to win a day with Struan himself just like ours, or head over to www.thebloggerprogramme.com to enter there instead. Monday evening I attended the Massis tea sampling event in Leicester Square, where myself and other bloggers were able to sample all the different flavours of tea lattes on offer from Massis.
I thoroughly enjoyed all the flavours, and of course, would highly recommend them! My personal favourites include Gingerbread, Hazelnut and Mint. On a cold Winters day, Massis tea lattes help to keep the cold away, whilst tasting delicious at the same time. They are currently only available in select stores across London - for specific locations, a list of flavours, and more information on Massis, check out their website here www.massistea.com. On Tuesday 24th November, I was lucky enough to be able to attend the Molton Brown Christmas Breakfast event in store on Regent Street. We all received a voucher worth £150 to spend on christmas gifts. Below I have photographed a range of Molton Brown's mens and home collections, including the gifts that I chose and a personalised Christmas bauble that I received. Gift sets 'for him' and 'for home'
I was invited to a bloggers event just next to the Southwark train station that took part on the 17th of November. Aswell as myself being invited so were eight other bloggers that all different styles. We enjoyed a menu of starters, mains and cocktails whilst playing a competitive social media game throughout the night in order to win prizes. We all had so much fun and I'm looking forward to the launch event next Wednesday - be sure to check back here for my follow up blog post after the event. Launch Event - 25th NovemberI returned back with my fellow bloggers to the Jamboree FoodFest and Bar for the official press launch party for the restaurant after attending the bloggers preview event last week.
Firstly, we got complimentary cocktails and a chance to try the different types of burgers (based on flavours from around the world). We enjoyed this as we were unable to try all the different themes at the previous bloggers event. As well as delicious food, there was a live band that played continuously throughout the night which added to the ambience of the night. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed both of my experiences at Jamboree FoodFest and Bar and I would highly recommend popping in for a burger and a beer. Jelly Belly Candy Company offers 50 official flavours and I had the pleasure of sampling 10 of those 50 famous flavours. Jelly Belly were introduced to Britain in 1985 and have been nominated one of the coolest brands in the UK year on year. Some of London's highest retailers stock these delicious treats Including such stores as Harrods and Hamleys. As well as the huge variety of flavours Jelly Belly also try to incorporate fun into their product by creating such games as 'BeanBoozled'. These beans are a collection of 16 look-a-like flavours, meaning that for every nice flavour there is a not so nice counter part - some are so crazy you wouldn't believe it! While the others are the delicious Jelly Belly beans we have come to know and love. Flavours within this game are shockingly authentic. The beans all look identical and every bite will be a surprising dare. I had great fun tasting all 10 different flavours, check out Jelly Belly on instagram at www.instagram.com/jellybellyuk and their main website at www.jellybelly-uk.com.
Also check out etailpr for more blogging opportunities or if you are a brand wanting to work with bloggers at www.etailpr.com After trying Virtue Drinks, I was so surprised as to how a canned drink could taste so good with nothing artificial!
As well as the good taste, the price is reasonable as well. You can pick these up in selected stores. www.virtuedrinks.com I recently just returned home from my stay at the Four Seasons Resort in Marrakech. The resort itself is actually breathtaking and is decorated very tastefully to true Moroccan style. The resort is made up of 2 restaurants, 2 bars, a lunchtime poolside food and drinks menu, and an adults pool and a families pool. Whilst you are at the pool the waiters will bring you an unlimited supply of water and ice to drink, as well as slices of fruit and small shot sized cups of juice. The atmosphere is very relaxed and calm and is perfect for an actual holiday or just a weekend getaway. I would highly recommend this resort and will definitely be returning in the near future! |
